The versatile artist enjoys working in a variety of media, but especially watercolors and acrylics. "The fast-drying quality of transparent layers of paint enable me to quickly and powerfully capture the vibrant and luminous colors of fish," he explains. "And with other media, such as ink and water-soluble colored pencils, I can define important details including the reflected light in the environment and on the fish."
